Marin Co. Attempted Murder Suspect Arrested
Demeshia Harris, 29 of Marin City was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder among other charges, authorities said.
MARIN COUNTY, CA — A Marin County woman was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder Thursday night, the Marin County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.
Deputies responded at around 8:40 p.m. to a report of a stabbing in the area of Cole Drive in Marin City and upon arrival found a female victim in an apartment with multiple stab wounds, the Sheriff’s Office said.
The woman taken to a local hospital and is in stable condition according to the Sheriff’s Office. She is expected to survive.

The suspect was identified as 29-year-old Demeshia Harris of Marin City according to the Sheriff's Office.
Deputies located Harris in a nearby apartment with blood on her body and found a knife nearby that was collected as evidence, the Sheriff’s Office said.

“Through our investigation it was determined Harris and the victim were involved in a fight earlier,” the Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.
“Harris retrieved a knife and a second altercation occurred with the victim suffering multiple stab wounds inflicted by Harris. Harris kicked and resisted Deputies when she was placed under arrest.”
Harris was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon, and obstruction with violence according to the Sheriff’s Office.
She was booked into the Marin County Jail and is being held on $500,000 bail, the Sheriff’s Office said.
