Marin County Artist Creates #MeToo Collection

Lara Myers has a jewelry collection on display titled "Things Guys Actually Said to Me."

SAN RAFAEL, CA -- A California artist has created a jewelry art collection with the hopes of helping victims of sexual harassment. Titled "Things Guys Actually Said to Me," the work of Lara Myers features phrases men have said to women, reported the Marin Independent Journal.

"Myers takes women’s stories and creates necklaces featuring text laminated in clear plastic," the Journal reported. "Each woman who submits a story gets a necklace to keep; a duplicate is available for sale to fund the project."

"Rather than protest, Myers uses art as a way to contribute to the conversation about the many challenges facing our country," the Journal said.
