Marin County Landscaper Receives Prestigious Trophy Award

January 21, 2020 - Marin County, CA – Marin-county based Prado’s Landscaping, Inc. was recently awarded a prestigious Trophy Award from the California Landscape Contractors Association (CLCA), the only state-wide trade organization of licensed landscape contractors and suppliers. Prado’s Landscaping received a first place award for the Kentfield Residence in the Large Residential Maintenance category. The Trophy Awards were established to encourage interest in landscaping, recognize crafts people who produce outstanding landscapes, create pride in superior workmanship and bestow public recognition on companies, institutions, municipalities and residents for their interest in a beautiful California.

The Kentfield Residence project which was awarded a first place Trophy Award in the Large Residential Maintenance category. This landscape features intertwined softscape including iceburgs roses and unique ornamentals, raised vegetable and flower beds, with hardscapes that match the homes exterior architecture. The flagstone patio is sheltered with a redwood patio structure featuring dovetail fastenings. A meandering flagstone stepped pathway flanked by a variety of plant material leads to an outdoor fireplace and striking sterling silver statue. The property is covered in award-winning roses. The project is carefully maintained thought-out, exhibiting a clean and aesthetically-oriented attention to detail and craftsmanship.

Other awards given to Prado’s Landscaping in recent years were a 2017 CLCA Sweepstakes Trophy Award for the Larkspur residence, a 2017 first place award in the category of large residential installation for the Belvedere residence and in 2019, a CLCA North Coast CLCA chapter Outstanding Achievement award of Recognition for the Walker Residence.

Award entries in the CLCA Trophy Awards program are judged in person by a panel of expert landscape professionals from other regions in the state who spend countless hours closely inspecting each nomination for the quality of workmanship and materials utilized. Each landscaping entry must adhere to industry standards and have properly shown an execution of detail in plant placement, turf conditions, functionality, efficiency of irrigation and overall presentation.
