Marin Readies For Juneteenth Celebration
Marin City will hold its fifth annual Juneteenth Festival Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Rocky Graham Park.
MARIN CITY, CA — Marin City will hold its fifth annual Juneteenth Festival Saturday.
The event will be held from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Rocky Graham Park.
The event will feature guest speakers, a food court, a barber shop, African hair braiding, community organization booths and a children’s play area.

Juneteenth is America's longest standing nationally celebrated commemoration of the ending of slavery.

“Our festival brings you much needed words of wisdom, and a variety of music and entertainment,” festival organizers wrote on the event’s website.
“Shop Black in our African Marketplace. Stock up on natural hair & body care, fashion, art, jewlery and unique gifts. Come hungry and ready to eat. Take time to relax with friends & family.
The festival is free, but donations are accepted.
Festival organizers ask those who expect to attend to fill out an informal registration form.
