Marin Supervisors Video Meetings Open To Public Comment

Starting Tuesday, the public will be able to chime in during Marin County Board of Supervisors meetings, being held over videoconference.

MARIN COUNTY, CA — Starting Tuesday, the public will be able to chime in during Marin County Board of Supervisors meetings, which have been held by remote videoconference for more than a month.

Callers will need to dial into a webinar phone number, at (669) 900-6833, and then log in with an identification number and password that can be found on the board's meeting archive web page on Tuesday morning before the meeting.

They will then be connected to the audio feed of the meeting and can participate during the board's open time for public expression or on specific agenda items, county officials said.

"We appreciate the patience the residents have shown as we have needed some time to adapt to this new way of doing business - not only for the board and our residents, but also for staff," County Administrator Matthew Hymel said. "While we need to adhere to the requirements of the public health order, we also need to continue delivering essential county services upon which our residents rely."

The supervisors' last in-person meeting at the Marin County Civic Center was March 31. Its first meeting by videoconference, due to the COVID-19 shelter-in-place, was held on April 14.
