San Rafael Area Readies For Freeway Closures

Two overnight lane and ramp closures on Highway 101 in central Marin County are scheduled in the next week, Caltrans said.

MARIN COUNTY, CA – Overnight lane and ramp closures on Highway 101 in central Marin County are scheduled in the next week, Caltrans said.

A lane closure at the Sir Francis Drake lane/offramp on Highway 101 in Larkspur is scheduled for Thursday from 2:30 to 7 a.m., Caltrans said.

A full ramp closure at the Sir Francis Drake lane/offramp is scheduled for Monday from 9 p.m. until Tuesday at 6 a.m., Caltrans said.

These lane and off-ramp closures are needed for Caltrans crews to safely continue project work on the bicycle/pedestrian bridge at this location.

Changeable message signs and directional signs will be in place to assist motorists traveling in the area.

This work is a part of ongoing construction projects along US-101 starting at the Golden Gate Bridge progressing through Sausalito and concluding with the ramps in San Rafael.

Advisories will be issued for work being conducted along this stretch of highway.

Motorists are advised to expect delays and allow extra time for their commute.
