San Rafael Council Expects GGT Transit Project Report Next Week

SAN RAFAEL, CA — Golden Gate Transit is expected to issue a report on plans to replace the San Rafael Transit Center at next week’s City Council next week.

GGT is among four agencies working with the city on the project.

Marin Transit, Transportation Authority of Marin (TAM), and Sonoma Marin Area Rail Transit (SMART) are the others.

GGT at the April 19 meeting will present its findings from public outreach meetings, surveys, and correspondences with several advisory groups to obtain feedback on proposed ideas for the project.

City officials said the project offers an opportunity to enhance safety and comfort and boost transit use by improving connectivity between transit services.
