SAN RAFAEL, CA — A San Rafael overnight electric service upgrade in the area of 4th and D streets is underway, city officials said.

Crews began excavation work Monday night. The project is expected to take three to four weeks to complete, city officials said.

Crews will work from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Mondays through Wednesdays and on Sundays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (starting July 11) for the duration of the project.

They are doing excavation work to install underground electrical service and commercial upgrade to the businesses in the area, city officials said.
