San Rafael, Police Reach Contract Accord

The 3-year deal will go before the City Council later this month for final approval.

SAN RAFAEL, CA — The city of San Rafael has reached a three-year contract deal with the city’s police union.

Negotiations between city staff and the San Rafael Police Association resulted in a Memorandum of Understanding that calls for 3.5 percent raise increases for the first year of the contract and 4 percent wage hikes the next two years.

A final staff report on the MOU will go before City Council at its June 21 meeting for approval, and all indications are that the measure will sail through.
