Suspect Arrested For Assaulting Elderly Man In San Rafael

June 3, 2021

San Rafael, CA – On May 30, 2021, at approximately 1:30 pm, the San Rafael Police Department received multiple calls reporting an elderly male subject was covered in blood and asking for help in the downtown area of San Rafael, near Second Street and Irwin Street.

SRPD Units and SRFD responded to the scene and contacted the 73 year-old male victim who was immediately transported to the local hospital and placed into ICU with life threatening injuries.

SRPD Officers and Investigators began investigating this incident. While canvassing the area, officers were able to locate several surveillance footage that showed a violent crime had occurred.
