Aparna Madireddi Announces Greg Carr as Campaign Manager
Former San Ramon Mayor Greg Carr Endorsing and Managing Aparna for Mayor Campaign

Mayoral Candidate, Aparna Madireddi has announced that Greg Carr, former San Ramon Mayor and City Councilmember, has endorsed and become her Campaign Manager.
“I am supporting Aparna Madireddi for Mayor and have volunteered to be her Campaign Manager for many reasons, but primarily because she genuinely cares for the best interests of the residents and local business community. Aparna is deeply knowledgeable about our City’s affairs, and most importantly she fully understands the City’s financial situation and budget requirements. San Ramon’s debt has increased without much budgetary focus to control it. We cannot keep kicking this can down the road any longer. We need leadership now to address the financial shortfall challenges that San Ramon is facing and come up with new ideas to generate revenues. Aparna has already proven her leadership and commitment to the community in many ways and is the best informed of all the candidates. I have never seen Aparna hesitate to roll up her sleeves to get any job done that is in the best interests of the residents of San Ramon”.
Aparna, in addition to Carr's endorsement and involvement in her campaign, is being supported by a long list of residents, some of whom have lived in San Ramon for decades, along with several noteworthy San Ramon officials. Her Campaign Advisor is former San Ramon Mayor and Councilmember, Mary Lou Oliver. She has also earned the support and endorsement of prominent and long-time Environmentalist and Chair of the Sierra Club Mt. Diablo Chapter, and former San Ramon City Councilmember, Jim Blickenstaff.

Aparna has stated, "I stepped up to run for Mayor because our City is at a critical point for its future. Open space, parks, financial stability, rising infrastructure costs, and pension obligations need to be addressed soon or we will face massive financial deficits. This is not a time for talk but for action. We live in a constantly changing landscape where policies and ideas that may have worked in the past will not pass the litmus test today. We need effective governance for our City now. I want San Ramon to be fiscally smart and sound for decades to come. I am uniquely qualified to be the Mayor of San Ramon. I have a master's degree in Geography with emphasis in Urban, Rural and Human Geography, which included land-use planning. I understand the full implications of a development project and how it can change our suburban fabric. Being the Mayor, is not as a stepping stone to other offices for me. It is an opportunity to work on improving the quality of life for all of us and our families. I live and work in San Ramon, and I believe in serving and giving my time back to the community that I love deeply."
Aparna is a 23-year resident of San Ramon and small business owner of a software consulting firm. She was appointed by County Supervisor Candace Andersen to be the District II Representative for Contra Costa County's Census 2020 Committee and the Finance Sub-Committee. She is also the Chair of the City's Open Space Advisory Committee.
