August Home Prices Drop In Tri-Valley: Report
More homes were for sale throughout the Tri-Valley in August, but prices dropped compared to the same time last year.
TRI-VALLEY, CA — The number of homes sold in the Tri-Valley during August was up compared to the same time last year, but sale prices were mostly down, according to the Bay East Association of Realtors.
More homes were for sale throughout the Tri-Valley in August, with inventory increasing 35 percent in Alamo and 69 percent in San Ramon as compared to the same time last year. The median sales price in Alamo increased 5 percent to $1.763 million.
But sales prices dropped in most areas with Danville down by 2 percent, Dublin down by 9 percent, Pleasanton down 2 percent, and San Ramon down 15 percent. Alamo was up by 5 percent and Livermore by 2 percent.

The number of homes sold dropped 13 percent in Alamo, 5 percent in Pleasant and 1 percent in Danville. Homes sold in Dublin increased 21 percent and they were up 40 percent in San Ramon. In Livermore, units sold increased by 7 percent.
