A Discussion on Climate Change and Forest Management
San Ramon Valley Youth Task Force Discussion
The San Ramon Valley Youth Task Force is coordinating a discussion on Climate Change & Forest Management on October 4, at 2:00 pm. Please join us and listen to two leading experts. Our students will also be sharing their thoughts on this issue. We will be learning about some things that we can do to make our cities sustainable and environmental-friendly, long-term. The event will be live streamed on Facebook. About the San Ramon Youth Task Force. Aparna Madireddi started the SRV Task Force to provide leadership opportunities to the students in San Ramon Valley and to make them feel more comfortable initiating discussions on topics that are important to them. The idea was to engage and educate as many people as we could, on different topics, through a safe platform. It is also an opportunity for our students to get connected to experts in their fields whether they are looking for information on internships, jobs, apprenticeships, or simply wanting to learn more. This is a student-led effort and is open to all age groups and backgrounds in the San Ramon Valley, and beyond. Stalled, due to the pandemic, the Task Force is now coming back with several presentations, webinars, and discussions in the upcoming weeks and months. If you are a student in Elementary, Middle or High School and are interested in joining the SRV Youth Task Force, please send your resume to Aparna Madireddi. Include 3- 4 sentences on why you would like to become a member. Letters of recommendations and certificates will be provided to all actively participating Task Force members at the annual wrap-up meeting. Also, if you are participating in events that help our communities, virtually or in person, you will be eligible for volunteer hours.
