It's bad enough that the team lost to the Oklahoma City Thunder in Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals by a score of 133-103. It's even worse that the Warriors could be without Draymond Green if the NBA decides to discipline him for a low blow he dealt to Steven Adams in the second quarter.

With just under 6:00 left in the first half, Green was fouled by Adams while driving to the basket. A few seconds after the whistle Adams was down on the floor in pain.

At first anybody could guess why the Thunder big man was in pain, but after viewing the video replay it was clear. Every guy's been there, and no guy likes to see it happen.

While Green was being fouled, his leg kicked up and caught Adams square in the groin.

Ouch.

Do you think that hit was intentional? Do you think Green deserves a suspension? Let us know in the comments below?

Green was called for a flagrant 1 foul for the play, but the real punishment could come from the NBA in the form of a suspension or fine. The big question for the league is this: Was the kick intentional or not?

Green insisted the contact was accidental, all while speculating on Adams' future plans for a family.

"I follow through on a shot, I'm not trying to kick somebody in the midsection. I'm sure he wants to have kids one day; I'm not trying to end that on the basketball court," Green told reporters after the game. "I brought the ball over the top this way, he fouled me, my leg went up."

But that doesn't mean Warriors fans shouldn't be worried. The fact that Green also struck Adams in the privates in Game 2 makes things worse.

It's a fact that that hasn't escaped several members of the Thunder such as Russell Westbrook and Head Coach Billy Donavan. Westbrook straight up accused Green of intentionally kicking Adams, and Donavan didn't speculate on his intent but questioned the fact that it's happened in two straight games.

And the NBA would not be overreaching if it decided to suspend Green. The league just suspended Cleveland Cavaliers player Dahntay Jones for a similar hit in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals.

It's hard to tell whether Jones' hit was any worse than Green's, but it's also worth noting that Jones is a far worse player than Green. Jones' suspension doesn't mean much to the Cavs, whereas a suspension for Green would be devastating to the Warriors. But the NBA may have set the precedent, and if so the Warriors are in trouble.

The Warriors haven't lost two straight games all season, but winning without one of its best players will be difficult. Especially coming off a huge loss away from home court. Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals will be played Tuesday at 6 p.m.

Whatever happens, each team should be stocking up on ice packs.
