Update: Highland Road Reopens After Injury Accident

The driver was pinned in his vehicle and transported by helicopter to the hospital, according to California Highway Patrol.

Highland Road has reopened in both directions at Collier Canyon Road east of San Ramon following a traffic collision this afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Initial reports indicate a driver in the collision, which was reported just before 4:30 p.m., was pinned in his vehicle and needed to be transported from the scene by helicopter, according to the CHP.
