How Many Foreclosure Homes Are In San Ramon?

And, how much are they selling for?

The number of foreclosure homes in San Ramon is down 63 percent over last year, and they're selling for an average of $82,800 less than non-foreclosure houses.

That's according to a report released Thursday from Realty Trac, which shows 157 homes in some sort of foreclosure in San Ramon with 37 of those houses for sale.

The median sale price for foreclosure homes was $627,200 in April. That was 17 percent higher than April 2012.

The median sale price for non-foreclosure houses was $710,000, up 3 percent from a year before.

In May, the number of properties that have received a foreclosure filing in San Ramon was 4 percent lower than in April and down 63 percent from May 2012.

Overall, homes sales in San Ramon in April were up 10 percent from the previous month and up 2 percent from the year before.

The figures were part of a national report released by Realty Trac that showed there are 712,000 foreclosure homes in the United States. Of those, 167,000 have been vacated by their owners.
