LB Steak Joins Dining Option Menu At City Center Bishop Ranch

The American steakhouse opened Wednesday and is the latest culinary option for patrons at the 300,000 square foot shopping center.

SAN RAMON, CA – The latest dining option of what is already a full menu of restaurants at City Center Bishop Ranch opened on Wednesday as LB Steak joined the San Ramon shopping, dining, and entertainment center.

LB Steak is an American steakhouse that is led by Chef Roland Passot, whose San Francisco restaurant, La Folie, recently closed after 32 years. The restaurant will feature hand-cut Prime Angus steaks sourced from the Midwest, imported A5 Japanese Wayu, sustainably sourced seafood as well as other menu items.

Executive Chef Jonah Oakden and LB Steak Brand Chef Roger Rungpha plan to bring a modern American menu to life, according to news release. Oakden, formerly of San Francisco’s esteemed Boulevard and Prospect restaurants, joins forces with Rungpha of sister property LB Steak on Santana Row in San Jose, which has been open since 2009.

“We’re very excited for the East Bay community to finally get the true LB Steak dining experience,” Obadiah Ostergard, CEO of Vine Hospitality, which operates the Left Bank Brasserie, LB Steak, and Meso Modern Mediterranean restaurants said in the release. “We offer only the best for our guests.”

  • 48 oz Tomahawk Ribeye for two
  • A5 Japanese Wagyu selections from Hokkaido, Miyazaki, and Takamori prefectures
  • 50-day aged pork chop, served with smashed Okinawa potatoes and pineapple chutney
  • Maple-glazed seared pork belly, served with savory bread pudding and a sunny side up egg
  • White Gulf prawns sautéed with garlic and cayenne, served with crostini
  • A5 Miyazaki Wagyu Carpaccio served with bread and butter pickled vegetables, crispy garlic, and sesame chili oil
  • Signature LB Potato served with bacon, chives, and a four cheese Béchamel

“We are excited about the opening of LB Steak at City Center Bishop Ranch,” Alexander Mehran Jr., president and chief operating officer of Sunset Development Company, the center’s owner and operator. “This contemporary steakhouse features truly great food, a full bar and an exceptional wine list — all combining to create a casually elegant dining experience.”

LB Steak is open for dinner from 4-9 p.m. Sunday-Thursday and from 4-10 p.m. Friday-Saturday. The restaurant will soon be open for happy hour, lunch, and weekend brunch. The restaurant also offers catering, to go, and delivery
