San Ramon Gets Madison Reed Color Bar
Hiding your roots under a hat? We've all been there. But now you can pick up your hair color at Madison Reed's Tri-Valley location.
SAN RAMON, CA — While you might have to keep dying your own roots until hair salons are cleared to reopen in Contra Costa County, hair color chain Madison Reed has opened its fifth Bay Area store in San Ramon's City Center Bishop Ranch.
Located between Starbucks and Mixt, Madison Reed said it will still sell hair color and have colorists on call for free color consultation to visitors. Safety protocols such as social distancing and mask policies will be in place.
Eventually, customers will be able to get their hair colored at the store, according to a news release from the company. A $60 monthly membership program will allow customers unlimited roots services, gloss services three times per year, blowouts twice per year and 20 percent discounts on other services.

This makes Madison Reed's fifth Bay Area color bar and the ninth it's opened since June. Customers have increased more than tenfold since the beginning of the pandemic.
"We know how much stress people are experiencing and if we can make one thing a little easier — getting your hair color safely — we will try to make that happen," said founder and CEO Amy Errett in the news release.
