Police Chase, Hit-And-Run Crash Ends With Parolee Arrest: SRPD
A witness called police after they noticed a man checking door handles and peeking into cars parked in the Crow Commons shopping center.

SAN RAMON, CA — A parolee and his female companion were arrested in San Ramon following a short pursuit and hit-and-run collision Tuesday night. Police said a witness called to report suspicious behavior after they saw a man checking door handles and looking into cars parked in the Crow Commons shopping center, 3161 Crow Canyon Place.
A witness told police that the suspect, later identified as 26-year-old Oakland resident Niko Correa, got into a car driven by a woman. When police tried to stop the car, the driver refused and fled. During the brief pursuit, the suspect hit another vehicle, according to police.
As the car continued onto Interstate 680, officers decided to terminate the chase. A short time later, however, officers found the car abandoned on the freeway between Alcosta Boulevard and Bollinger Canyon Road. Officers set up a perimeter and with the help of Dublin police and the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office, they found Correa on Pine Valley Road.
