Performances And Food From Around the World Featured at First Dougherty Valley CultureFest
The event on Saturday, April 13 will celebrate the cultures and traditions that make Dougherty Valley so unique.

People from around the Bay Area are expected to descend on Dougherty Valley High on Saturday, April 13 for the inaugural CultureFest event.
Dougherty Valley CultureFest 2013 will feature performers from different cultural backgrounds and foods from around the world to celebrate Dougherty Valley's unique diversity.
The events starts at 1 p.m. with the Cultural Bazaar, which will have student performances, international foods catered by local restaurants and cultural wares representing groups from around the world.

At 3 p.m., top music and dance artists from around the bay area will perform traditional dances and music representing cultures from around the globe.
Some of the performing groups include Caminos Flamincos (Spain), Chhandam School of Kathak Dance (India) and McGrath Irish Dancers

Many of the acts typically perform at venues much larger than Dougherty Valley, but agreed to perform at this unique event to the Bay Area, according to a press release for the event.
Tickets are being pre-sold for the event and can be bought here. Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for seniors and students
Representatives from the Korean consulate, the San Ramon mayor Bill Clarkson, San Ramon Valley superintendent Mary Shelton and school board members are some of the people expected, Dougherty Valley principal Jason Reimann said.
