Pop-Up Gym Coming To San Ramon After Crunch Fitness Closes
Crunch Fitness in Danville closed after 11 years. It plans to open a temporary pop-up gym in San Ramon.

SAN RAMON, CA — Crunch Fitness in Blackhawk Plaza was abruptly shuttered Monday amid a landlord dispute. The company plans to open a temporary location this summer in San Ramon.
Crunch Fitness announced on its Facebook page Monday morning that it would close at 9 p.m. The gym said it was unable to reach fair terms with its landlord.
Blackhawk Plaza General Manager Veronica Curley did not respond to a request for comment from Patch.

"We are disappointed that we are forced to close this gym after proudly serving the Danville community for the past 11 years," Blackhawk Plaza wrote.
Crunch Fitness said it was finalizing plans for a pop-up gym in San Ramon expected to open around June 1. Crunch Fitness could not be reached to elaborate on its plans, but said it would announce more details in the future.

Members of the Blackhawk Plaza location were given the month of May free and were switched to a membership program that allowed them multi-gym access.
Members who wish to cancel their membership should submit their name here by May 25.
