Road Closures Scheduled For 'Run San Ramon'

The list of closures slated for the July 4 race day.

SAN RAMON, CA — With the upcoming Run San Ramon 5K and 10K event coming up July 4, residents are reminded there will be road closures in effect on race day. The closures are:

  • South Bound Alcosta Blvd., between Norris Canyon Road and Bollinger Canyon Road, will be closed from 5:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.
  • East Bound Norris Canyon Road, between Alcosta Blvd. and Bishop Drive, will be closed from 6:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.
  • North Bound Bishop Drive, between Norris Canyon Road and Executive Parkway, will be closed from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m.
  • Executive Parkway, between Bishop Drive and Alcosta Blvd. (Using BR15 parking lot), will be closed from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m.
  • Camino Ramon, between Executive and Norris Canyon Road, will be closed from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m.

There will be three parking lots available for event parking:

There is no event parking in the neighborhoods surrounding Central Park or in the Marketplace.

The chip-timed Run San Ramon 5K and 10K offers a family friendly, flat and paved course. Participants will receive a short sleeve commemorative shirt and an American flag; finishers will also receive a medal.

The race starts 8 a.m. July 4 at the San Ramon Central Park Community Center, 12501 Alcosta Boulevard. Cost is $40 for adults and $30 for youth (18 and under) if registered by June 30; cost goes up by $10 for registrations after June 30. Race-day registration is available on July 4 from 6:45 a.m. to 7:45 a.m. in front of the San Ramon Community Center.

A pre-race stretch session will be conducted by event sponsor Shred 415. Meet in front of the San Ramon Community Center at 7:40 a.m. to get warmed up for the race.
