San Ramon Arts Foundation Hosts Free 'Loving Vincent' Screening

The San Ramon Arts Foundation, invites you to join us for a free virtual movie series. Watch the movie in the comfort of your own home, then on March 30th at 6pm you will join moderators Dave Owens and Patrick Gutierrez on the virtual stage for an online one-hour discussion. They will be joined by Professor Cliff Edwards who has written five books on Vincent Van Gogh.

This month’s movie is “Loving Vincent”, which has been entirely hand painted by a team of over 100 artists and is an animated film on the final days of Vincent Van Gogh.
Signing up is easy for a Contra Costa full-service library card, available here. Watch the movie on the free streaming service Kanopy. If you are not in Contra Costa County, Kanopy may still be available in your area. Check your local library website. An array of additional movies can also be found on alternative streaming services such as Amazon Prime, Netflix, YouTube, Hulu, etc.

ABOUT THE FILM
Loving Vincent, Loving Vincent is the world’s first fully painted feature film. A young man Armand (Douglas Booth) comes home to deliver Vincent Van Gogh’s final letter and ends up investigating his final days through a letter written from Vincent found after his death to be giving to his brother Theo. We will be showing this to coincide with Vincent Van Gogh’s birthday. Wear your favorite party hat!
