San Ramon is the Highest-Earning City in the United States?

No city in the United States has a larger percentage of households making more than $100,000 than San Ramon.

That's the analysis by NerdWallet, a personal finance site, which says that San Ramon has the most broad-based affluent population in the country.

There are 16 cities in the United States that have over 50 percent of households making more than $100,000 a year. San Ramon ranked No. 1, with 63.5 percent over the $100,000 benchmark.

San Ramon has 22.1 percent of households between $100,000 and $149,999, 16.4 percent between $150,000 and $199,999 and 25 percent above $200,000.

Nearby Pleasanton ranked No. 3 on the list, with 59.8 percent of households over $100,000 a year.
