San Ramon Police Arrest Armed Robbery Suspect

SAN RAMON, CA — San Ramon police officers arrested an armed robbery suspect Friday evening near the popular Iron Horse Trail.

A San Ramon police spokesperson confirmed that the arrest took place in an open field just east of the Iron Horse Trail, a popular route that bisects the city and is regularly used for walking, jogging and bicycling.

There are few details as of late Friday evening, but police confirmed that an armed robbery took place at the Alcosta Smoke Shop, located in the Country Club Village Shopping Center at Alcosta Boulevard and Village Parkway.

Police have yet to release the identity of the suspect arrested.
