San Ramon Votes For A New Mayor
Two councilmembers are facing four political newcomers in the race to serve San Ramon as Mayor Bill Clarkson finishes his final term.

SAN RAMON, CA — Six candidates are seeking to replace San Ramon Mayor Bill Clarkson, who is exiting the political arena after hitting his term limit.
The candidates are: David E. "Dave" Hudson, council member; Dinesh Govindarao, chief medical officer; Aparna Madireddi, small business owner; Susmita Nayak, businessowner and engineer; Sanat Sethy, businessperson and engineer; and Sabina Zafar, council member and technology director.

There are more than 700,000 registered voters in Contra Costa County, including some 370,000 Democrats, 135,000 Republicans and 197,000 voters who do not identify with either of the country's main political parties.
