Saturday's Powerball Jackpot Reaches $550 Million

We reported earlier this month that San Ramon is the most affluent city in the United States (by one measurement at least), but let's hope it gets a little more richer this weekend!

With the introduction of Powerball to the state on April 8, California becomes the 43rd state to to sell tickets. And Saturday's jackpot has reached an absurd $550 million.

In the history of Powerball, the highest jackpot reached $587.5 million, making this Saturday’s jackpot the second highest. According to the CA Lottery, the Powerball jackpot could get even higher before the drawing. Just a year ago, the Mega Millions jackpot reached $656 million.
