Search Effort Underway For Missing Contra Costa Co. Woman
Ching "Ping" Chen, 53, was reported missing by her husband, who said she went out to water plants in their yard and never returned.

EAST CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA — Sheriff's deputies are using a drone and a dog in their effort to find a woman who was reported missing Tuesday night in the Discovery Bay area of unincorporated Contra Costa County.
Just before 9:30 p.m., a man flagged a deputy down to report that around 7 p.m. his wife, 53-year-old Ching "Ping" Chen, had gone missing from their home in the 5500 block of Beaver Lane near Cornell Park, an area surrounded by water.
Deputies were initially unable to locate her, and search and rescue personnel were still looking for her as of Wednesday morning.

Chen was last seen wearing a light green tank top, green shorts and pink sandals. She's described as an Asian woman standing 4 feet 11 inches, weighing just under 90 pounds with brown eyes and brown hair with blonde highlights.
