SEE: Dog Rescued In Early Morning San Ramon House Fire

Smoke was billowing from the garage when the San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District first arrived.

SAN RAMON, CA — Firefighters stopped a house fire from spreading early Tuesday morning and rescued a dog from the burning home.

The San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District responded to a house fire in the 2500 block of Toltec Circle around 2 a.m. and arrived to find smoke and flames rising from the garage, according to SRVPFD and smartphone app PulsePoint.

Firefighters quickly began work to keep the fire from spreading and rescued the family's dog, which remained inside. SRVFPD prevented the rest of the home from damage.
