STORM: City Of San Ramon Providing Sandbags To Residents, Biz
The sand and bags are being offered at four locations in the city.
SAN RAMON, CA — With the season's first big storm bearing down on the Bay Area, the City of San Ramon is making sand and bags available to its residents and businesses.
San Ramon residents and/or businesses needing sand or sandbags can bring a shovel and helping hands to one of four locations for supplies (bags and sand provided):
- Sunny Glen Senior Living, 9000 Craydon Circle
- San Ramon Sports Park, Sherwood Way
- San Ramon Central Park, Alcosta Blvd. adjacent to the San Ramon Community Center
- Athan Downs, Montevideo Dr. near San Ramon Valley Blvd.
During the storm, residents can report clogged storm drains, downed trees or flooding by calling (925) 973-2800 during business hours Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.; or the San Ramon Valley 911 Communication Center at (925) 973-2779 after hours.

"Winter weather in and around the San Ramon Valley brings rain, sleet and ice," the city warned. "Prepare your vehicle and home for the wet and windy conditions to reduce risks and provide you peace of mind."
