Tri-Valley City Ranked Among Top Places To Visit In U.S.
Only two California cities made the list.
PLEASANTON, CA — The city once nicknamed "the most desperate town in the West" was recently named one of the top places to visit in the United States in 2018, according to Liveability. The community research publication ranked Pleasanton #4 among ten cities across the country. Newport Beach took the top spot.
Originally a popular stop for bandits and drifters passing through during the late 1800s, the East Bay city is now a bustling suburb with historic buildings, plenty of parks, the quintessential Main Street and family-friendly events hosted downtown, including a weekly farmers market and a spectacular holiday parade.Pleasanton is also home to the the popular Alameda County Fair, which features the oldest one-mile race track in America.
