SANTA CRUZ, CA — We know that Santa Cruz is home to a litany of delicious, fun and creative dining options. Now Eater San Francisco has taken notice.

The food publication shared a list of 15 Santa Cruz eateries, breweries and other food and drink spots that are well worth checking out.

  1. Venus Spirits: The distillery at 200 High Road offers up gin infused with botanical flavors, agave spirits, whisky, cocktails and tasty eats.
  2. Humble Sea Brewing Co.: The brewery at 820 Swift St. in laidback Westside Santa Cruz is a cozy spot to grab a drink and catch up with friends.
  3. Bantam: Enjoy signature wood-fired pizzas from the business at 1010 Fair Ave. The menu is based on seasonal offerings.
  4. The Penny Ice Creamery: There's a reason that the ice cream shop at 913 Cedar St. often has a line out the door. It's got a slew of creative flavors, all made totally from scratch.
  5. Birichino Winery Tasting Room: This tasting room at 204 Church St. offers imbibers a taste of the Santa Cruz Mountains, with grapes grown here, across the Central Coast and beyond.
