Closures Reported At 7 Roads In Santa Cruz County After Winds

SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, CA — Six roads in Santa Cruz County are closed and one is down to a single lane due to wind-related issues as of late Sunday night, the county said.

Townsend Drive from Baldwin Drive to Lamonda Drive was closed after a tree fell on a home.

Several trees fell on power or electricity lines, closing roads at the following locations:

• The 3300 block of Branciforte Drive
• The 1100 block of Buena Vista Drive
• La Madrona Drive, south of Sims Road (one lane is open, another is blocked by wires)
• Larken Valley Road, 250 yards north of Mar Monte Avenue
• Soquel San Jose Road, near the 5.67 mile marker
• Valencia Road, near Valencia School Road
