Council Seeks Community Input In City Manager Search

The City Council announced today the launch of a nationwide search for the next City Manager of the City of Santa Cruz.

Community input will be essential to a successful search. The Council invites the full community to participate by defining the most important issues facing the City and the key attributes they hope to see in the next City Manager. Responses will be accepted through May 1. Find the links to the survey in both English and Spanish at cityofsantacruz.com/cmsearch.

Following the announcement of current City Manager Martín Bernal’s planned retirement, the City Council selected Teri Black & Company, LLC to conduct the search in partnership with a City Council subcommittee, including Mayor Donna Meyers, Vice Mayor Sonja Brunner and Councilmember Renee Golder.
