Billed as the premier holiday social event, the Dominican Hospital Foundation Guild’s annual fundraiser, the Holidays d’Eleganz, will be held this weekend, November 18 and 19, at the Cocoanut Grove in Santa Cruz. Hundreds of community members will attend this two-day event, a fundraiser for Dominican Hospital’s cardiac services.
Holidays d’Eleganz is the main fundraiser orchestrated by the Dominican Hospital Foundation Guild, which is celebrating its 25th year. The event has netted well over $2.2 million for the hospital since 1987. The 25th anniversary of the Foundation Guild coincides with Dominican Hospital’s 70th anniversary.
The celebration will feature two events and is a kick-off to the holiday season for many Santa Cruz residents.

On Friday, lunch and actress Shirley Jones are on the menu starting at noon. Perhaps best known for her role as the matriarch of the long-running TV sitcom, “The Partridge Family,” Ms. Jones will share tidbits from the many facets or her life and career with the guests.
The gala dinner-dance wraps up Holidays d’Eleganz Saturday evening at the Grove and will feature a live auction as part of the festivities.
