Expect Traffic Delays In Santa Cruz As Street Projects Begin
Find out when and where construction will take place over the course of the next week.

SANTA CRUZ, CA — Live or work in Santa Cruz? Your commute might take a little bit longer over the course of the next week amid construction to improve local roads.
The city is warning that residents should expect traffic delays over the course of the next week from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., beginning Friday. Traffic impacts are expected to conclude next Friday. Work will not take place on weekends.
The project, funded by measures D and H, will continue into mid-July. Pavement installation and road striping are among the activities residents can expect.

Traffic controls will be in effect, though the public is advised to avoid impacted roads when possible.
Additionally, construction will take place on 16 eastside and westside streets Friday. and 20 eastside streets Monday as part of a street surface seal project also funded by measures d and h. Residents can expect street and parking closures on those days, and the project is expected to continue into July.

June 18
- Barson Street, from Ocean Street to Bixby Street
- Delaware Avenue, from Woodrow Avenue to Dufour Avenue
- Delaware Avenue at the intersection of Columbia Street
- Laguna Street, from Santa Cruz Street to Bay Street
June 21 to 25
- Delaware Avenue, from Fair Avenue to Woodrow Avenue
- Delaware Avenue, from National Street to Santa Cruz Street
- King Street, from Miramar Drive to the west end of Mission Street
