Gina Castaneda Inducted Into Aptos High Soccer Hall Of Fame

Castaneda has also founded the Aztecas Youth Soccer Academy, which aims to help youth involved in the juvenile justice system.

From the Aztecas Youth Soccer Academy: Statement from Santa Cruz County Probation Chief Fernando Giraldo on the induction of Gina Castaneda into the Aptos High School Girls Soccer Hall of Fame:

“We are pleased to see that one of our own, Deputy Probation Officer Gina Castaneda, is being inducted into the Aptos High School Girls Soccer Hall of Fame. Gina is being recognized not only for her contributions to Aptos High School, but for all she has done beyond her soccer career. She has selflessly dedicated herself to our community and provided countless opportunities for youth and families to succeed in life. This recognition is well deserved, and we congratulate Gina for all she has accomplished.”

In addition to being a probation officer, Castaneda founded the highly regarded Aztecas Youth Soccer Academy, which aims to help youth involved in the juvenile justice system. She is being inducted as part of the the inaugural Aptos High School Girls Hall of Fame class tonight, Feb. 1, 2018 at Aptos High School
during the half time of the Girls Varsity Soccer game. For more on the Aztecas,
