Gusts up to 50 mph could be felt along the coastline, with gusts up to 45 mph inland.

SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, CA — Santa Cruz County and much of western California is under a high wind watch from 4 a.m. on Super Bowl Sunday to Monday at 4 a.m., the National Weather Service said.

A dry cold front is moving in on the region, bringing strong northwest winds, NWS said. The strongest gusts, 40 to 50 mph, are expected along the coastline. Gusts between 30 to 45 mph are forecast in inland valleys.

Officials warn people should keep an eye on the weather and secure loose objects before winds arrive.
