Motorcyclist Killed In Highway 9 Crash: Santa Cruz County
The crash was reported shortly before 7 a.m. on northbound Highway 9 near Glengarry Road.
SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, CA — A 66-year-old Felton man died after crashing his motorcycle on state Highway 9 near Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park in Santa Cruz County on Tuesday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash was reported at 6:51 a.m. on Highway 9 south of Glengarry Road.
The man, whose name is not yet being released, was driving a 2007 KTM 950 motorcycle south on the highway when he failed to negotiate a turn and struck a dirt embankment, CHP officials said.

The motorcyclist succumbed to his injuries at the scene. No other vehicles were involved in the crash, which remains under investigation, according to the CHP.
