Nine Consecutive Months of $700k Median Home Prices in Santa Cruz County

Offering some context to the news: the median home price in Santa Cruz County in 2007 was $740,000 before the market dropped.

Santa Cruz County median home prices hit the lucky 7 - $700,000 in this case - for the ninth consecutive month in November, despite the usual market slowdown seen this time of year, reports Jondi Gumz, writing for the Santa Cruz Sentinel.

Some agents, like Ruth Bates, with Thunderbird Real Estate in Soquel, are reporting great years in 2015. Bates handled $21 million through sales.

Robert Aldana, an agent with David Lyng affiliate American Dream Realty in Scotts Valley, tells the paper “If you are a home seller, you’ve got gold.”

The Sentinel reports that as of the first week in December, there were 287 active listing, with 46 percent priced over $1 million.
