Report Of Barricaded Suspect Turns Out To Be False: SCPD
Officers conducted a welfare check at the home.
SANTA CRUZ, CA — Police said an investigation has revealed that someone submitted a false report that led police to respond to a home in Santa Cruz where a person had allegedly barricaded themselves inside this evening. Police reported on Twitter at 5:33 p.m. that a suspect was barricaded in a home in the 100 block of Ocean Street.
Officers conducted a welfare check at the home and in the surrounding area and everyone was accounted for.
Police said no one was injured and no one was arrested. Roads in the area have reopened.
