Police Search For Specialized Bike Stolen From Disabled Girl
Officers ask the public to be on the lookout for a red, three-wheeled designed to accommodate her balance issues.

SANTA CRUZ, CA — Santa Cruz police are asking residents to keep their eyes peeled after a specialized bike was stolen from a girl with special needs.
"She is heartbroken," police said in a statement.
The red bike is an adaptive, three-wheeled bike designed to help accommodate her balance issues. It has a large black cage-style basked attached to the rear.

Officers patrolled city neighborhoods, homeless encampments and alleyways to no avail.
Anyone who sees the bike is asked to contact police dispatchers at 831-471-1131.
