Highway 9 To Close Between Santa Cruz And Felton
The highway will be shut down Monday, Oct. 21, through Thursday, Oct. 24, between the hours of 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. each day.

SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, CA — Caltrans will be shutting down Highway 9 between Keystone Way near Santa Cruz and Glengarry Road in Felton to remove dead trees, the agency announced. The work will take place Monday, Oct. 21, through Thursday, Oct. 24, between the hours of 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. each day.
Caltrans is suggesting two detours:
1) Graham Hill Road from Felton to Santa Cruz
2) Mt. Hermon Road to Hwy. 17 to Santa Cruz.
The detours will tack on an extra 10-15 minutes in commute time, according to Caltrans.

In addition to dead tree removal, crews will also clean ditches/channels and refresh the road pavement markings and striping, the agency said.
Electronic message boards will be posted to alert motorists of the roadwork that is scheduled to be completed by Thursday, October 24 at 4 pm.
