Road, Lane Closures Scheduled In Santa Cruz
A sewer main repair on Water Street and construction work on Mission Street are forcing the closures.
SANTA CRUZ, CA — The City of Santa Cruz is advising motorists of road and lane closures this week.
A sewer main repair on Water Street at the intersection of Magnolia Street is scheduled from 8 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 10, through 5 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 12.
Traffic will be diverted to the south side of Water Street. There will be no northbound access to Magnolia Street from Water Street; westbound Water Street travelers will be able to exit at Magnolia. Bicyclists will have access to vehicle lanes in each direction.

Additionally, there will be construction work that is scheduled to close the two center lanes of Mission Street, between Laurel Street and Van Ness Avenue, from 7 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 10, through 1 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 11. Traffic control will be in effect.
This road work, contracted through the California Department of Transportation, will install temporary gas monitoring probes in the Mission Street asphalt.
