Santa Cruz City Council: 4 Seats Open
Nine women are seeking to fill four of the six seats on the Santa Cruz City Council.
SANTA CRUZ, CA — Santa Cruz voters are casting ballots to decide which of the nine women seeking to serve them will get a seat on the Santa Cruz City Council.
Incumbents Sandy Brown and Martine Watkins are seeking re-election, while seven fresh faces are giving it a go, including: Sonja Brunner, business community director; Kelsey Hill, nonprofit program director; Maria Cadenas, nonprofit executive director; Elizabeth Conlan, scientist; Shebreh Kalantari-Johnson, nonprofit strategic manager; Alicia Kuhl, wellness specialist; and Kayla Kumar, nonprofit executive.
