Santa Cruz County Gets $1.1M Grant for Mental Health Services
A grant from the state of California will soon help the county provide more services to those mentally ill.

Santa Cruz County, CA -- A grant from the state of California will soon help the county provide more services to those mentally ill.
According to the Santa Cruz Sentinel, the county received a $1.127 million grant to buy property so that it can expand its mental health services.
"The funding came from the California Health Facilities Financing Authority, which had $142 million to award and a goal of adding 2,000 mental health crisis beds across the state," according to the newspaper.
