SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, CA — June is LGBTQ Pride month and local organization Santa Cruz Pride has been planning events to celebrate for the past 46 years. Last year's celebrations went virtual as Santa Cruz County grappled with the coronavirus pandemic, but Santa Cruz Pride is back on track with a slew of events this year.

Santa Cruz Pride kicked off last week, but there's still time to join in the festivities.

Several events are ongoing, including the Santa Cruz Museum of Art & History's Community Pride Zine project, online exhibit and LGBTQ history-inspired treasure hunt. Details on the treasure hunt are forthcoming, according to Santa Cruz Pride.
