SCCAS Hosts 'Meow Luau' Kitten and Cat Adoption Event
The goal of the event is to adopt cats and kittens into new homes during summer when many homeless animals enter the shelter.

From SCCAS: On Saturday, June 10, 2017, Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter (SCCAS) will host the “Meow Luau” Kitten and Cat Adoption event at SCCAS’ Santa Cruz shelter, 1001 Rodriguez St. (corner of Rodriguez and 7th Avenue), from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The goal of the event is to adopt cats and kittens into new homes during the busy summer season when there are many homeless animals entering shelters.
This event is a joint partnership between SCCAS and local animal welfare organization Heading Home Animal Rescue (headinghomerescue.org). The volunteer-based nonprofit Heading Home Animal Rescue is SCCAS’ leading animal placement partner, taking in and adopting out more pets in need from the Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter than any other partner.
During the Meow Luau, all kitten and cat adoptions are only $50! Adoptions include spay/neuter, microchip (including registration), age-appropriate vaccinations, routine treatment for fleas/worms, and a free pet wellness exam with local participating veterinarians. The public is invited to come to the Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter to meet beautiful cats and kittens available for adoption.
