SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, CA — Callers within the boundaries of Cal Fire's San Mateo-Santa Cruz Unit reported smelling smoke Wednesday, but officials believe the smell is coming from fires elsewhere in the Golden State.
Cal Fire has not seen any smoke in the skies above the region.
