Teen Stabbed At Cabrillo College In Santa Cruz County
Sheriff's officials said staff members and students rescued the girl.

SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, CA -- A teenage girl was stabbed Wednesday at Cabrillo College in Aptos, but the incident "could have been a lot worse" if an employee and students didn't intervene, sheriff's officials said.
The 19-year-old woman was stabbed shortly before noon. The suspect, identified as Steven Wooding, was held down by a cafeteria manager and students until deputies arrived, sheriff's officials said.
The victim was transported to a nearby hospital where she is in stable condition.
